Release Tension & Find Deep Rest
If you are struggling with anxiety or having trouble sleeping, your body may be holding onto stress without you even realizing it. Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) is a highly effective, somatic practice designed to help you actively release that physical tension.
During this session, Lynn and Derek will guide you through the process of tightening specific muscle groups, holding for 5 seconds, and then slowly releasing over 10 seconds. You will take slow, deep breaths, focusing entirely on letting go and experiencing a profound state of relaxation as we move through each muscle group.
Safety Note: You will be encouraged to be careful and mindful of your body, ensuring you never tense to the point of physical pain.
By intentionally creating and then releasing tension, you help teach your nervous system what true relaxation feels like. We will follow this powerful physical release with a soothing Sound Bath to fully integrate the healing.
